Working towards Sustainability

Even though our proud roots at Drostdy Hof go back as far as 1804, we prefer to stay centred in the present. To Live in the Now is to make the most of every moment. It is to live mindfully and to value the special and the everyday.

To Live in the Now isn’t just about short-term thinking, though. It also includes preparing for the future. Not just ours but the future of the places and communities amongst us.

That’s why we have made Working Towards Sustainability our brand promise. We understand that to protect our future we have to work in ways that are environmentally and socially sustainable and do it now. We also have to be open to new and better ways of improving ourselves on our sustainability journey of restoring and replenishing. Call it a never-ending project – but it’s the only way to ensure we remain a well-loved brand that’s a household name for future the generations to come.

Our wines

Elegant, structured and refined.

At Drostdy Hof, we believe that no two grapes are alike. So we take the greatest care through an age-old winemaking process to ensure that we draw out as much flavour as possible from each and every grape.

Working towards sustainable wine

As a leading brand within the Distell Group and in accordance with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, we strive to be environmentally friendly, conscious and accountable.

At Drostdy Hof, growing is our speciality. But we don’t only grow celebrated varietals unique to our country’s nonpareil conditions – we also strive to grow, educate and empower young, disadvantaged South Africans to prepare them for jobs in the wine, tourism and allied sectors.
